Anabel Kummer | Project Director 2023/24
To satisfy her intellectual curiosity, Anabel pursues her master´s degree in physics. Her dedication to knowledge and diligence led her to tap into the realm of international politics and multilateralism in a UN context by becoming a delegate of FAUMUN in 2020/21. During her study year abroad in York in 2021/22, UK, she furthered her expertise by being an active member of the United Nations Association of the University of York. As such, she participated in multiple training conferences as delegate, while also being trained in chairing MUN conferences. Since 2022, she holds the position as FAUMUN Project Director and therefore is in charge of the overall organization and general concept as well as the planning and implementation of the project, while also handling public relations and content related aspects. By being involved as an active member and partaking in the social media team of the United Nations Society Nuremberg, she will put her proficiency to use by leading the social media marketing of FAUMUN.
Sophia Lindemiller | Project Manager 2023/24
Always looking for a new adventure, Sophia has taken on the position of FAUMUN Project Manager. After living abroad for a year, she began her bachelor studies in international business studies during which she discovered her interest in international politics. Shorty after, she joined the FAUMUN Delegation 2021/22 and won an Outstanding Delegate Award at the Erlangen Model United Nations Conference 2021. After loving every minute of discussion, research and new experiences, she joined the United Nations Society Nuremberg and spent some of her time working on the project UN in the Classroom. After her exchange semester in the Netherlands and her time as an intern at the Center for International Peace Operations, she wanted to become more involved in the Model United Nations project again. Due to her experiences organizing over 20 trips for international students while working at the international office of FAU, she decided the position of project manager was just the right fit for her. Her tasks include planning and managing the various trips of the delegation, including the Berlin excursion. Furthermore, she is in charge of the management and organization while focusing on the lectureship of the program.
Selina Offenwanger | Sponsoring Manager 2023/24
Selina is currently pursuing her bachelor‘s degree in political science and English and American studies. She participated in FAUMUN 2022/23 and was part of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) at NMUN 2023 in New York and successfully represented among others South Korea and Nigeria in MUN conferences. For this year’s delegation, she will be taking on the role of Sponsoring Manager and try her best to secure financial aid for the delegation to make the program accessible for all students at FAU.
„Learning and networking opportunities should be made accessible to everyone. When I participated in FAUMUN, I thought we missed out on many more applications and good people just because the program was too expensive for many students. I want to try my best to open the program to anyone who is interested. Education should be free and accessible to everybody.”
